GVBC uses funds from memberships and funds earned at the annual Bike Swap to support community cycling events and organizations. Below is a list of how that money has been used to support such events and organizations.

2011

• GVBC donated $150 to buy pizza and drinks for the Bike from Work Party during Bike Week
  .
• GVBC donated up to $100 each morning of Bike Week to help cover the cost of refreshments served  to bicycle commuters at Rockford Coffee, Wild Joe’s, The Daily Coffee Bar, Sola Cafe, and the Community Food co-op.
  .
• GVBC is supporting the Longest Day of Trails by providing $500 to cover insurance for the event.
