Kids Explorer Singletrack Ride
Hosted by The Dirt Concern of GVBC
.
This ride will take place on July 17 at 9 am sharp. Meet at the Bohart Ranch parking area. Cost will be $2 for each participant to cover USA cycling insurance. All children must be accompanied by a parent. We hope to build on the success of the well-attended adult ride, which took place on Saturday the 10th.
Many parents have kids who like to ride bikes, but don’t know where they can take the kids to get a taste of trail riding that is a step above the town pathways. Bohart Ranch has an ideal trail loop to challenge both the child and the parent. We will provide some minimal instruction and guide riders around the 5-mile Bohart mountain bike loop. This is a moderately strenuous loop that has several narrow sections, root obstacles, and a few tough uphills. This ride will specifically target the strong and/or coordinated boys and girls age 9 and older. The pace will match the slowest person.
