3rd annual Ringling-Martinsdale tour – Saturday, July 24
.
Leave from the post office in Ringling, at 9:30AM (plan to register first). The post office has given us permission to park there, but asks that we leave room for the mail truck in front of the door. Bozeman to Ringling is 52 miles. Take Bridger Canyon Rd.(Hwy 86)to Hwy 89. Turn left (north) to Ringling.
.
Ride goes from Ringling to Martinsdale, 32 miles. From Ringling, turn left (north) on Hwy 89, to Hwy 294; turn right on 294 and ride to Martinsdale. Ride will be rolling hills.
.
In Martinsdale, you will find the Crazy Mountain Inn, noted for its pies and other homemade foods – open from 11:30AM to 7:30PM Thurs, through Sun. The Inn will prepare a turkey sandwich and pasta salad for us for $7.25 each. Their full menu will not be available. Desserts can also be purchased. Since the Inn doesn’t open until 11:30, fast riders may have time before lunch to relax, roam the Martinsdale vicinity, ride out to the Reservoir (2 miles) or check out the Bair Museum.
.
Brown baggers may eat at the picnic tables at the Bair Family Museum, which is located just down the road on Hwy 294 about 1 mile from Martinsdale. The museum will be holding its ground breaking ceremony for a new museum on this day. The present museum will be open to the public 10:00am – 5:00pm daily ($5.00 entry fee, $3.00 for seniors). Riders may opt to stay a while and ride back at leisure. Total mileage- 64 miles.
