Monday
..
- Bangtail Bikes’ Monday Night Road Rides are Back!!: A long-time Bangtail tradition: the weekly Monday Night Road Ride, is back! This is a recreational road ride that is usually around 20-40 miles depending on the group and weather. This is a recreational ride, not a training ride. All abilities are welcome. If you’re interesting in riding with us, meet at the shop a little before 6 in the evening. We’ll leave the shop a bit after we close at 6 (this gives us in the shop a chance to get in on the ride). If you have any questions please give us a call at 587-4905 or comment on our Facebook page. .

Tuesday
.
- GVBC Road Race Training Series (Colin Craig Memorial Series): Rotating schedule of Road Race and Circuit Race/Crit – see schedule.
. - Bozeman Bike Kitchen Work Night: Gather at the Meat Shoppe (corner of Rouse and Aspen) at 5:59 pm, ride one half block to the Bozeman Bike Kitchen for the Weekly Work Night from 6:00 -8:00 pm, at 425 E Aspen (last house on the left, in the garage).
Wednesday
..
- The GAS/Intrinsik team will start their women’s road rides on Wednesday, May 4. Anyone is welcome to attend; you don’t have to be a GAS/Intrinsik team member. Meet Wednesdays at the Bozeman Public Library at 6 pm for non-competitive rides. We are excited to bring in a new cycling season with a re-energized, expanded group of dedicated and spirited women cyclists. To usher in this new season, there will be a few changes to the women’s rides.
- Road rides will be on Wednesdays instead of Mondays. The rides will go every week.
- We’ll have a variety of ride leaders this year, which will be great fun. This will also allow for the formation of faster or slower groups, as dictated by the mood on any given evening. We won’t formally plan for multiple groups, but we will set up the rides such that if a faster group wants to form and split off the main group, we encourage that. The ride leader will stick with the main group and will ensure that we don’t lose people.
- As with previous years, the rides are geared toward women cyclists who are game to push themselves. You needn’t be a racer or have aspirations of racing, but you will fit in just great if you are comfortable with rides in the 20 mile range at a pace that ranges from mellow to brisk. It’s always hard to describe a ride as hard or easy because those terms are very dependent on your own frame of reference. So if you are unsure if these rides are a good fit for you, drop me an email (karin@kirkframeworks.com) and I can give you some guidance.
- We will schedule some rides during the daytime, which is a nice way to work around the evening thunderstorms.
- For those of you who want to try racing, we will select some Tuesday night events and do some practice rides to get ready for them.
- To allow for easier communication within our group, we’ll set up a Google Group. Write to Karin at (karin@kirkframeworks.com) to get on the Google group.
