The Gallatin Valley Bicycle Club, based in Bozeman, Montana, is dedicated to providing cycling activities that promote recreation, individual health, education, and advocacy and encourage a more bicycle friendly community in the Gallatin Valley. The Club supports shared-use trails in appropriate and accessible locations.
GVBC was founded in 1978, and is a volunteer, non-profit organization. We sponsor the annual Bike Swap, our biggest volunteer event, which has been a huge success the past couple of years due to the help of our club members! Our ~1000 members donate time, while our club funds help sponsor a number of local organizations and events benefiting cyclists, such as the Montana Special Olympics, Bike to Work Week, Longest Day of and Trails, the Bike Kitchen, and much more.
The club sponsors a variety of rides and events. For road cyclists, we offer day tours, our annual Three Rivers Century, a new brevet series, a road race training series, and we also serve as an umbrella organization for local race teams. For mountain bikers, the mountain biking arm of GVBC, The Dirt Concern, offers day rides, trail work days, and other fun events. For families with young children, we offer shorter rides geared for fun with children.
We hope you’ll join us for some of our rides, and come on out to volunteer at some of our events! If you want to get more involved in helping with rides and events, write to us at gvbcbike@gmail.com.
