Bridger Canyon Century Road Ride

August 29, 2026

About the Ride

The Bridger Canyon Century is a classic Gallatin Valley road ride featuring big miles, big views, and a rewarding day in the saddle. Riders can choose between a full 105-mile paved loop or a shorter 87-mile option, both winding along the Bridger Mountains through Wilsall, Clyde Park, and Livingston before returning to Bozeman.

There are two options for this year’s century road ride. Check out the Full Route and Alternate Route descriptions and route maps below.   Self-serve refreshments will be provided on both courses (at the Crosscut Nordic Center in Bridger Canyon and the Malmborg Schoolhouse on Jackson Creek Road), but riders should plan to self-support or purchase their preferred refreshments in Clyde Park or Livingston.  Ride starts at 8:00am.

Full Route

Bridger Canyon–Sedan–Clyde Park–Livingston–Jackson Creek–Bridger Canyon. (Approx 105 mi)

The full Century is a challenging paved loop that starts  at Story Mill Park. Start time is 8 am. We have 2 distances again, a 105mi loop and an approx 87 mile loop. The route travels north along the Bridger Mountains to Wilsall, then turns south through Clyde Park to Livingston, and returns to Bozeman over Bozeman Pass and Jackson Creek Road before it cuts back on Bridger Canyon Road. There will be drinks and snacks at Crosscut and the Jackson Creek school house. For those doing the long route, we usually stop in Clyde Park at the grocery store, although some folks opt to stop in Livingston instead. Finish back at Story Mill Park, Bozeman.  The ride includes some hills (4700 feet of climbing), stunning scenery, and likely afternoon winds over Bozeman Pass.

Alternative Route

Bridger Canyon—Sedan–Clyde Park–Brackett–Bridger Canyon (Approx 87 mi)

An alternative return route from Clyde Park via Brackett Creek Road is also available. This alternative route is shorter and avoids the Bozeman Pass “wind tunnel” but has the same total climbing as the full Century.
