2023 Weekend Day Tours


READ THIS FIRST! All participants including volunteers must become GVBC members AND complete the touring waiver online.
There will not be any paper day-of memberships or liability waivers in 2023, however, you may sign up from your phone.
You must do this online BEFORE any event. Use the links below!


Our weekend day tours are typically on Saturdays, unless noted, and are non-competitive group rides open to GVBC members at no additional charge.
Although most of the tours are on roads, tours are open to riders of all abilities and any type of bike (road bike, E-Bike, mountain bike, cross bike, etc). Additional details and a map/elevation profile will be sent out within the week of each ride, and are also posted on the website. Be sure to join our email list to receive the information, or email the contact person listed for each ride.

April 15–Yellowstone National Park

Leave from West Yellowstone. Weather dependent. Meet at Chamber of Commerce at 11:00. Alternate day, if bad weather on the 15th, is April 16. Distance can vary depending on riders and weather. Contact Jason 406.599.2897, belgradebobcat@msn.com. More information here

 

May 13–Tour de Spud

Dry Creek Church-Manhattan- Churchill-Dry Creek Church loop. Meet at 9:00 at a new starting place this year-The Dry Creek Bible Church parking lot (right side of church). Ride Dry Creek Road first & loop counter-clockwise. Approx 50.4 miles. Shorter route (Tater Tot-37 miles)  is also available. May 20–Brackett Creek Loop

Clyde Park-Brackett Creek-Wilsall-Clyde Park Loop. Meet at Clyde Park Post Office at 9:00 – leave at 9:15 Ride clockwise from Clyde Park-Brackett Creek-Bridger Canyon Road-US 89 & Clyde Park. June 11–(Sunday)–Lewis & Clark Caverns Loop

L&C Caverns-Cardwell-Harrison-Pony-L&C Caverns loop. Meet at L&C Caverns at 9:00. Approx 40-50 miles. Lunch at Harrison Café or Pony Bar. Check with us at the Visitor’s Center for Parking information. Contact Roberta 406.579.2791, rennisinbzn@gmail.com. More information here

 

June 24–Gallatin Valley Half Century Loop

This 50-mile clockwise loop around the valley starts at Story Mill Park at 9:00 and goes up through Bridger and Kelly Canyons, crosses over to the frontage road, and goes under the Interstate to intersect with Bozeman Trail. July 16–(Sunday)–Meandering Missouri

Rural ride to Clarkston and back. Meet at Three Forks Ponds at 9:00. Ride along bike path & frontage road to Logan. Follow paved road to Clarkston-Same route back. Approx 36 miles. Aug 6–(Sunday)–Tour de Chico, Paradise Valley

Aug 19–Morganzo 55

Coordinated by friends of GVBC but not an official GBVC event/tour. GVBC membership not required to participate in this ride. Gravel grinding bike ride/race – 55 miles on gorgeous hilly roads west of the Bridgers. Ride info here: http://www.morganzo55.com

 

Aug 19–Bridger Canyon Century

This challenging 102 mile paved loop starts in Bozeman and goes to Wilsall, Clyde Park, Livingston, and returns to Bozeman. It includes some hills (4700 feet of climbing), stunning scenery, and likely afternoon winds.  An 84 mile return route from Clyde Park via Brackett Creek Road is also available to riders. Sept 23–Ringling-Maudlow

Mountain or cross bike ride on rural dirt road. Meet at the fairgrounds at 8:00. Distance can vary. **Must pre-register to assure adequate sag.
